The Interfinity Festival, under the direction of Lukas Loss, brings together the Basel music landscape, including composers, ensembles, professors, and musicians. The musical spectrum ranges from Baroque, Classical, and Romantic to modern and contemporary music. In the three-part series "God is a DJ," the techno scene is explored from the perspective of classical music. The backdrop is the turn of the millennium, during which the dance and disco scene evolved into a kind of substitute church, and techno established itself as a new "religion" in forests and outdoor festivals. Following this development, "God is a DJ" represents musical impressions in church, nature, and club spaces.
Das Interfinity Festival unter der Leitung von Lukas Loss ist eine Begegnung der Basler Musiklandschaft von Komponist:innen, Ensembles, Professor:innen und Musiker:innen. Der musikalische Kosmos reicht von Barock, Klassik, Romantik bis hin zur modernen und zeitgenössischen Musik. In der dreiteiligen Serie „God s a DJ“ wird
die Techno-Szene aus dem Blickwinkel der klassischen Musik beleuchtet. Den Hintergrund bildet die Jahrtausendwende, in welche sich die Tanz- und Disko-Szene zu eine Art Ersatzkirche entwickelte und Techno eine Art neue „Religion“ in Wäldern und Outdoor-Festivals etablierte. Gefolgt von dieser Entwicklung repräsentiert „God s a DJ“ musikalische Eindrücke in Kirche-, Natur- und Clubraum.
