The video animation "Kosmos" is based on E.M. Foster's science fiction short story "The Machine stops" from 1928. The story narrates the life of mankind, who spend their lives and the fulfillment of their needs in dependence of a gigantic machine. The video animation "Kosmos" tells the story of Kuno, the protagonist, who is the only one to survive the apocalyptic collapse of the machine and civilization.
Die Videoanimation "Kosmos" basiert auf E.M. Foster‘s Science-Fiction-Kurzgeschichte "The Machine stops" aus dem Jahr 1928. In der Kurzgeschichte wird das Leben der Menschheit beschrieben, die ihr Leben und die Erfüllung ihrer Bedürfnisse in Abhängigkeit einer gigantischen Maschine verbringt. Die Videoanimation "Kosmos" erzählt die Geschichte des Protagonisten Kuno´s, der als einziger den apokalyptischen Zusammenbruch der Maschine und der Zivilisation überlebt.
